Winchester Model 1892 Saddle Ring Carbine – .32-20

$1,899.00

For sale is a Winchester Model 1892 Saddle Ring Carbine lever action rifle in .32-20. Serial number- 643356. After running a serial number lookup, we've determined that this rifle was manufactured in 1911. This Model 92 features a 20" barrel and saddle ring making it the carbine version. The Model 1892 (or "The 92" as most of us call it) was Winchester's follow-up to the amazing Model 1886. The 86 was designed for large hunting/military calibers of the 1800s, like 45-70. Soon after it's development, the call went out for a new (but more compact) lever rifle suitable for pistol calibers. Soon John Moses Browning produced the Model 1892 prototype for Winchester — and the rest is history. Please refer to the photos as heavy pitting is present in the bore and on the receiver, dents and dings are present on the magazine tube, and a hairline crack is present on the right side of the stock where it meets the receiver.
