The Zero series were the initial German Army trial pistols of the P.38 design, they were built to the highest Walther commercial production standards with a glossy deep blue finish. The 359 factory and the Nationalist Socialist German Workers Party (Hitler Party) stamps are on the right side of the slide. This pistol get the Zero Series name from the first number on the serial and were the earliest P.38s made by Walther and only about 10,000 were produced. The Walther P.38 went on to be the standard issue pistol of Germany during WWII, replacing the P08 Luger. Over 1 million P.38s were produced by Walther and other small arms manufacturers during the War. All German proof marks are clear and present.

Please see the photos to determine the condition for yourself. About 85-90% is still present with most of the wear on the front strap and left side of the muzzle. The Magazines do not match the gun. One is a WWII magazine with some rust and the other is a post-war P1 magazine.
