For sale is a Universal M-1 Carbine semi-automatic rifle in .30 Cal. Serial number- 400826. Includes two magazines. This is a third gen version of the Universal M1. It has the metal handguard, stamped bolt carrier, and the bolt-hold-open toggle switch at the right rear of the receiver. This carbine is functional, however PLEASE NOTE: the stock has a repaired crack on both sides. A sling and oiler are also included. More than 426,000 carbines were manufactured by Universal Firearms over a 25 year period from 1961 through 1986. This was 10 years longer and more than three times the quantity manufactured by any other commercial carbine manufacturer.
