For sale is a Star M-243 Firestar Plus semi automatic pistol in 9mm. Serial number- 2156593. This M-243 Firestar Plus is in good condition and comes with two 13 round magazines. The Star Firestar is a series of single-action semi-automatic pistol consisting of four models that received the 1991 Handgun of the Year Award from Guns & Ammo magazine. The Firestar was available in 9 mm Para (M-43), .40 S&W (M-40), and .45 ACP (M-45) calibers, all having a single-stack magazine. The Firestar was produced by the now defunct Star Bonifacio Echeverria, S.A. in Eibar, Spain until 1994. The Firestar was imported into the United States by Interarms of Alexandria, Virginia. The M243 is most commonly referred to as the "Firestar Plus," including in roll-stamping on the slides of those distributed in many regions. These guns are essentially an M43 9 mm Firestar, with a largely different alloy frame containing a double-column, 13-shot magazine. The Firestar Plus is a compact, reliable and accurate handgun well-suited for backup or concealed carry.
