For sale is a Standard Products M1A1 Carbine semi-automatic rifle in .30 Caliber Carbine. Serial number- 2236462. Mfg of the receiver is 1944. This carbine is in fantastic condition and comes with a magazine pouch and (2) 15-round magazines. The bore looks incredibly clean and has the desirable flat bolt. We do understand that all M1A1 Paratrooper stocked carbines were produced only by Inland however, we believe this one was fitted into a paratrooper stock after WWII for the Korean War. Everything regarding the stock appears to be correct and an early "High Wall" stock. The stock is properly marked "I.O." on the inside ahead of the mag well, and the handguard is stamped "I.O." on the underside edge. Please see the photos as we got plenty of close-ups of the rifle along with photos of internal stamps. M1A1 Carbines are extremely hard to find as only about 140,000 were made and were issued to Airborne divisions and Marines but they were unpopular with US Troops due to their flimsy stock or poor ergonomics. Many of the stocks were destroyed by US Troops by accident or on purpose and were replaced with full wood stocks.
