All serials match including the cylinder and frame. We can date this revolver because it was either one of the last 3rd Change or one of the 1st 4th change models made by S&W. 3rd Change models ended around serial number 241703. The .38 Smith & Wesson Model Military & Police Model of 1905 is the third of Smith & Wesson's .38 Hand Ejector models. Manufactured between 1915 & 1942. They were later renamed the Victory model during WWII and then the Model 10 post-war. The Model 10 is the most produced handgun of all time.
