For sale is a Sears Model 53 bolt action rifle in 30-06 SPRG . Serial number-U155176. The Sears Model 53 was manufactured by Winchester under a contract with Sears. It was manufactured and available from Sears until they stopped selling firearms, these were also known as the Winchester Model 70. It basically is a no frills Model 70 and is quite good. Ted Williams, of course, is the Hall of Fame baseball player whose name appeared on a line of firearms sold by major retailers in the 1960s and 1970s in places like Sears and Roebuck. The company goes by "Sears" now, although it dropped guns long before that change. Please note- This gun does have rust on the barrel and bolt of the gun.
