For sale is a Rock Island Arsenal Model 1903 bolt action in .30-06 SPRG. Serial number- 227263. This RIA Model 1903 is in good condition. Features a 1919 date stamp on the barrel, a "P" proof mark on the grip area and a "S.A. G.A.W." and Springfield stamp on the stock indicating a Springfield rebuild. The M1903 Springfield, formally the United States Rifle, Caliber .30-06, Model 1903, is an American five-round magazine-fed, bolt-action service repeating rifle, used primarily during the first half of the 20th century. Rock Island manufactured 1903s in tandem with Springfield to arm US troops during WWI. After WWI the rifles received upgraded barrels produced just before or during WWII.
