For sale is a Remington Model 742 Woodsmaster semi-automatic rifle in .280 Rem. Serial number- B7393468. The rifle is in good condition but there is some pitting on the bore. The rifle is stamped that it is chambered in 7mm Express Rem. This was a temporary rename of the .280 Rem by Remington in an attempt to increase sales but failed and the round was renamed back to the .280 Rem. The Remington Model 742, also known as the Woodsmaster is a semi-automatic rifle that was produced by Remington Arms from 1960 until 1980. It uses a straight 4 round magazine and features include a side ejection port and a free-floating barrel.
