Pietta 1851 Black Powder Revolver replicates one of the widely used sidearms of the American Civil War. A very popular revolver for its time, the model 1851 Navy revolver was adopted by both the U.S. and British military. This .44 caliber model is available in the brass frame, with a 7 1/2" barrel. Its popularity continued after the Civil War being used by cavalry during the Indian Wars and Pioneers heading into the Wild West. It would be replaced by the 1873 Colt Single Action Army in 1873.
