For sale is a Norinco Type 84S (arsenal 66) semi-automatic rifle in 5.56X45. Serial number-310703. This rifle is in great condition with an excellent bore! It appears to have been fired very little (see pics!). It comes with (3) magazines, a bayonet, original box, instructions, oil bottle, and canvas sling. Serial numbers on the rifle appear to be matching. If you are a serious collector, you need to jump on this opportunity! All serials match on this rifle. With the commercial success of the semiauto Type 56S AK rifles in the US, Norinco looked for other options for export rifles to sell. Given the use of the 5.56x45mm cartridge in the US, an AK chambered for that round was an obvious answer. Norinco did not have the technical data package to make the AK-74, so instead they made their own conversion to adapt the design to the new cartridge. The result was a rifle with the unique Chinese Type 56 stamped features but chambered for 5.56mm.
