For sale is a Marlin Model 55 Goose Gun bolt action shotgun in 12 gauge. Serial number- 27394737. This TYPE is in good condition and was manufactured in 1973. Has a "JM" stamp indicating that it was made by the original Marlin Firearms team. This 55 variant is the Goose Gun Model: The Goose Gun was a 12 gauge that was produced from 1962 until 1988 and it featured a 36" barrel with an overall length of 56¾" and weighed 8 lbs. Despite not actually receiving the rights to utilize the design from Savage Arms until 1957, Marlin began production of the model 55 in 1954. While it was found that the longer barrel didn't affect pattern or velocity very much, it did make for a smoother swing and a longer sight radius. Almost 50 years later, this would still make a great shooter.
Please note, this shotgun does not come with a magazine and is missing the sights. There are also no markings indicating the choke of this shotgun, although most 55s came with a full choke.

I bought a Marlin Goose gun that has a 3 in magnum chamber and is a model 55. The clip does not have the internal parts. This clips are hard to find. I have been wanting one of these guns for years and it shoots perfect but i need parts to repair the clip or buy a new one.
