For sale is a Marlin Model 336 SC (Sporting Carbine) lever-action rifle in .35 Remington. Serial number- G1597. This 336 SC is in good condition and comes with a vintage Weaver Marksman 4x riflescope, and a sling. This rifle features a 20" barrel with the "JM" stamp indicating manufacture by the original Marlin Firearms team. The bore in very good condition. The G prefix to the serial number indicates this 336 SC was manufactured in 1950. Since this is an early Model 336 it features the unique and popular "Waffle Top" receiver that was only available until 1952. It also does not feature the Micro-Groove barrel seen in later Marlin Models. First introduced in 1948 by Marlin Firearms, the Marlin 336 is one of the most popular lever-action rifles ever made. The Model 336 embodies Marlin’s dedication to dependability, pinpoints accuracy, and good looks. This rifle ranks up there with other iconic guns like the Winchester Model 1894, the Winchester Model 70, and the Remington Model 700. As a result, hunters have taken countless deer, elk, bear, and feral hogs with this great little rifle over the years. Please refer to the photos as there is a minor ding on the scope objective and the rear sight has been installed backwards to allow for scope clearance.
