Iver Johnson Safety Hammer Revolver – .38 S&W

For sale is a Iver Johnson Safety Hammer Owl Head Revolver chambered in .38S&W. Serial number- 42859. This revolver has been parkerized but the action and top-break function flawlessly. It has a double top latch. The cylinder rotates freely until engaged by the double action. It comes with hard rubber Owl Head grips, the Owl Head looks towards the barrel (this may be an indication it is black powder only). We believe it is a 2nd model due to the double latch and lack of a prefix. Please Note the 2nd model was designed for Black Powder, NOT FOR MODERN SMOKELESS POWDER! It should not be fired with anything but old BP ammunition.
