For sale is a Hungarian FEG M44 bolt-action rifle 7.62x54R. Serial number- BK1495. This rifle was manufactured in 1953 at the FEG Factory and is in fair condition. Includes bayonet. Most of the SNs are matching except the serial on the bolt! The bolt handle is also smaller than most Mosin Nagants, it is unclear if this was done after it hit the commercial market (SEE IN PHOTOS). There is a CAI import stamp on the bottom side of the barrel. The Hungarian M44 was a copy of the Russian M44 carbine that was provided to Commbloc countries following WWII. FEG made them in relatively small numbers compared to other Commbloc countries in the 1950s. M44s make fun shooters with relatively inexpensive ammunition.
