For sale is a Dikar Derringer Philadelphia Blackpowder Pistol in .45 Cal Blackpowder. Serial number- 283250. Includes the pictured powder flask but it has some pitting and holes in it. This is a replica of John Henry Deringer’s most famous invention. Their lightweight and compact size made Derringers popular for close-range personal defense. These pistols could be easily concealed in a pocket or boot and many women carried them in hand muffs. Unfortunately, these pistols were also popular with criminals. President Abraham Lincoln was assassinated by John Wilkes Booth using an original version of the pistol up for auction here. This pistol is in great condition and would be a great addition to your black powder collection and ought to be a literal blast to shoot.
