For sale is a Colt Trooper MK III double-action revolver in .357 Mag. Serial number – 11677L. Mfg Dated: 1978. This revolver is in great condition and includes the original Colt box. The bluing is solid throughout and the wood checkered grips are in good condition. There are some use-wear imperfections on this revolver, including a ding on top of the front sight. Please see photos for exact condition. **PLEASE NOTE: The single action on this pistol requires a slight depress of the trigger to cock the hammer, and may require fine-tuning by a qualified gun smith. The timing and lock-up are tight and the double-action trigger pull functions flawlessly. The MK III line of Colt revolvers was introduced in 1969. This made significant engineering changes to the Trooper and Official Police models. Intended to be the first major advancement of Colt’s designs since the beginning of the 20th century, the MK IIIs used a new ‘J’ frame and had no parts interchangeability with older models. The new revolvers were considered groundbreaking as they were the first modern revolver designs to employ a state of the art transfer-bar lockwork system.
