It features a 4" barrel and a cylinder . This is a New York Police marked revolver. Manufactured from 1896 to 1907. The Colt New Police was selected by NYC Police commissioner Theodore Roosevelt in 1896 to be the 1st standard-issue revolver for officers. This revolver was manufactured in 1899 according to colt records. Chambered in the .32 New Police. 4" barrel, with a 6 round capacity, a round front sight blade, and a sighting groove on topstrap. Exposed ejector rod. Blued metal finish. Black, checkered "Colt" hard rubber grips. "Colt New police.32" on the left side of barrel. 2-line Colt address, and Patent dates on the top of barrel.
