Colt New Police Police Positive – .32 Cal

Colt New Police Police Positive – .32 Cal

$399.00

For sale is a Colt "New Police" Police Positive in .32 S&W/.32 New Police. Serial number- 44112. This Colt New Police was manufactured in 1907 and is in fair condition. It features a 4" barrel and a cylinder with a 6 round capacity. Please note it fires a .32 caliber round at the time Colt introduced the .32 New Police (Colt's Flat Nosed Version of S&Ws .32 Round) which was better for self-defense but should also shoot the more common .32 S&W. This revolver is a good example of police revolvers used during the turn of the 20th century and the Prohibition Era. In fact, the (at the time) New York Police Commissioner Theodore Roosevelt made the Colt New Police the first standard-issue sidearm of the NYPD. This would make a great addition to any collection of Colt Revolvers. Please refer to the photos as there is wear across the finish, a small chip in the bottom of the left and right grip panels, and pitting in the barrel. However, everything appears to be matching and original to the firearm. No Refinish, No Replaced Parts!
