For sale is a Colt Government Model 1911 MK IV Series 80 semi automatic pistol in .45 ACP. Serial number- FG16401. According to Colt's website this Model was manufactured in 1983. This Government Model 1911 is in good condition with an excellent bore and some minor rusting around the hammer. Comes with 3 magazines, the manual and a softcase. The 1911 is generally viewed as one of the finest combat pistols ever designed and the first successful self-loading pistol. 1911 was designed by American firearms inventor John Browning and is the oldest service pistol in the world, still used in over 25 nations for over 100 years; it has proven itself to be one of the most popular and timeless handguns ever made. The Colt Mk IV Series 80 Government takes the classic 1911 design and improves it with a Series 80 firing system for reliable performance that combines the classic 1911 with modern upgrades to redefine the standard of performance, handling, and feel.
