Browning Superposed Skeet – .410

Browning Superposed Skeet – .410

$2,999.00

For sale is a Browning Superposed Grade I Skeet over/under shotgun in .410 accepting 3" shells. Serial number- 1882J7. This shotgun is in good condition but has scratches and cracking in the finish of the stock. Features a 14 1/2" length of pull and SKEET/SKEET choke set up. Made in Belgium in 1967. Has a vent rib, round knob, and a gold trigger. What makes the Superposed unique from other models such as the Citori is that It was the last firearm to be designed by John Browning. After Browning's death, the design work was completed by his son Val A. Browning. Browning’s design took into account weaknesses in other designs in this configuration, specifically looseness in the breech. He reinforced the hinge mechanism in order to ensure tightness for the long haul. Browning went to Fabrique Nationale (FN) in Liege, Belgium with his design, after having great success with the Auto-5 earlier. Unfortunately, he wouldn’t get to see the success of the Superposed; John Browning died in 1926.
