$2,999.00
For sale is a Browning Superposed Grade I O/U shotgun in 20ga accepting 2 3/4" shells. Serial number- 5545. This Superposed is in great condition for being 70 years old. Features vent rib, ejectors, long tang, MOD/IMP CYL chokes, and Round knob stock. Made in Belgium in 1953. What makes the Superposed unique from other models such as the Citori is that It was the last firearm to be designed by John Browning. After Browning's death, the design work was completed by his son Val A. Browning. Browning’s design took into account weaknesses in other designs in this configuration, specifically looseness in the breech. He reinforced the hinge mechanism in order to ensure tightness for the long haul. Browning went to Fabrique Nationale (FN) in Liege, Belgium with his design, after having great success with the Auto-5 earlier. Unfortunately, he wouldn’t get to see the success of the Superposed; John Browning died in 1926. V2-L4-NV Barrel Length: 26.5 Bore condition: Excellent Year Manufactured: 1953
