For sale is a Browning BLR lever action rifle in .308 Win. Serial number- 03986K70. 1st Year Production Browning BLR "K70" Lever Action .308 Rifle. The Browning BLR was officially released in 1971 but Browning started production in 1970 and were only limited numbers produced in 1970 that have the "K70" serial number. Very few K70 serial numbers have ever come up for sale. FN started production in 1970 but did not release the guns for sale until 1971, as Browning wanted to ensure they had enough of them on hand for their release to the public. Hence while this gun may have been made in 1970, it was considered a 1971 gun as that was when it first became available to the public and is stamped as such. This rifle includes rifle scope rings installed.
