For sale is an Arisaka Type 99 bolt action rifle in 7.7×58mm Arisaka. Serial number- 34725. All Matching SNS! This rifle is a series 4 and was manufactured at the Nagoya Arsenal between 1939 and 1945. The Type 99 rifle Arisaka was a bolt-action rifle of the Arisaka design used by the Imperial Japanese Army during World War II. The chrysanthemum was at least partially ground off on rifles which were surrendered after the war, apparently as a face-saving gesture. Rifles captured in the field, however, normally have the chrysanthemum symbol intact. This one is partially crossed out.
