American Arms Swivel Breech Double .32 Rimfire Derringer
$699.00
Up for grabs is a American Arms Swivel Breech Double .32 Rimfire Derringer. Serial number- 0013170. A rare 1800s swivel breech ‘twister’ .32 caliber rimfire pistol. It has walnut grips and blued barrel. The rare double .32 cal. derringer was a boot or pocket gun used in the War Between the States. The American Arms Co. of Boston, Massachusetts manufactured a swivel breech, double-barreled pocket pistol (Wheeler’s Patent) from 1866 to 1878. It is estimated that only about 3000 of these were manufactured (ref Flayderman 8A-006). These derringers had superposed barrels manually rotated for loading and firing. This appears to be a version of this model. Please note: the swivel mechanism on this firearm is somewhat loose and may need to be tightened. V2E1 Barrel Length: 2.5 Bore condition: Good
Serial Number: 0013170
