Winchester Model 12 – 12 GA – Mfg 1941 – M1912 – Slam Fire – Nydar Sight

This is a no reserve penny auction for a Winchester Model 12 pump action shotgun in 12 gauge. Serial number- 881434. This shotgun is in good condition and features a 29" barrel with a 2 3/4" chamber and an adjustable poly choke. This Model 12 also features a vintage Nydar Model 47 shotgun sight with its original box and factory paperwork. Please take note of the picture's as there is surface and finish wear present. The Winchester Model 1912 (also commonly known as the Model 12, or M12) is an internal-hammer pump-action shotgun with an external tube magazine. Popularly named the Perfect Repeater at its introduction, it largely set the standard for pump action shotguns over its 51-year high-rate production life. From August 1912 until first discontinued by Winchester in May 1964, nearly two million Model 12 shotguns were produced in various grades and barrel lengths. This particular Model 12 is also slam fire capable!

<br />One of the first commercially fairly successful sights was the Nydar Model 47, made by the Swain Nelson Company and introduced in 1945. It was intended as a sight for shotgun hunters, to aid in firing on flying birds (basically the same application as when used in fighter aircraft). In 1945 when Nydars came out they were almost $25.00, which equates to about $500 today.
