Remington Model 722 – 6mm Rem – MFG 1957 – Vintage Redfield Scope – Custom

This is a no reserve penny auction for a Remington Model 722 bolt-action rifle in 6mm Rem. Serial number- 405845. This rifle looks to have been manufactured in 1957. It is in fantastic condition for its age with an awesome bore. It includes a vintage Redfield 3x-9x Scope. It also features a custom thumbhole stock and a 24" heavy target barrel. On the left side of the barrel there is a custom roll mark that reads "6mm Rem Made For LW Hantel By Daves Gun Shop Ionia Mich 1964".

The 721/722 replaced the short-lived Model 720. The Model 721/722 is considered to be one of the first modern, economically produced sporting rifles whose design largely continued with the subsequent and highly successful Model 700. Manufactured with high precision, it is known for its exceptional accuracy. The bolt and receiver design, based on the Mauser action, is considered one of the strongest ever produced.
